MEDITATION DAY RETREATS

All our day retreats include led meditations, short lively talks on specific skills and benefits of meditation, tasty lunch, good company, questions and discussion.

We lead day retreats at several lovely venues in the City of London, at the Spitalfields City Farm, St Ethelburga's Centre for Reconciliation and Peace, and at St Botolph’s Church Hall on Bishopsgate. We also lead in-house training days for organisations.

THE POSSIBILITY OF JOY: SPRING MEDITATION DAY RETREAT led by Catherine Powell

A welcoming and focussing meditation day retreat, with a friendly group in the Church Hall at St Botolph's.

In this meditation day we’ll remind ourselves of the possibility of Joy, as described in the Tibetan meditative tradition as 'the Four Joys'. In current times, it is valuable to know that it is possible to experience Joy, without denying or turning away from this world and all of its suffering.

Join us for an enjoyable, friendly day of meditation and conversation. We'll be delighted to see you. Hot drinks and tasty vegetarian/vegan homemade lunch will be provided.

The Church Hall, St Botolph-without-Bishopsgate, Bishopsgate, London EC2M 3TL
Cost: £90.00 per person, £50.00 concessions (full time students, unemployed, over 60, low waged)

(read conc info)

Our concession rates aim to support those who are unemployed and receiving benefits, low waged, full time students, or people over 60 years of age. On occasion we offer concession rates for other reasons depending on individual circumstances: do contact us to ask if you are in difficult circumstances.

BLOSSOMING FROM THE MUD: SPRING MEDITATION DAY RETREAT led by Catherine Powell

A welcoming and focussing meditation day retreat, with a friendly group in the Church Hall at St Botolph's.

In meditative tradition, the lotus blossom of enlightenment grows out of the mud. Everything is included, mud, roots, water, sunlight, flower.

We’ll immerse ourselves again in the practice and benefits of meditation, mindfulness and unconditional loving kindness: practices that help us to know our own life, and to nurture responses of wisdom and compassion in our lived experience.
