CATHERINE’S 108 KM SPONSORED SWIM: RAISING FUNDS FOR FELDENKRAIS TRAINING
The London Meditation Project director Catherine Powell has been accepted onto a four year training with Garet Newell, to train in the Feldenkrais Method. This method is all about embodied awareness and the freedom that can come from awareness through movement. Catherine has learned about Feldenkrais first-hand through observation of many Anat Baniel Method lessons received by her own child, and recognises the great potential of this work.
Training in the Feldenkrais Method will contribute to the work of the London Meditation Project for the benefit of meditation course participants, in our 'mindful play' workshops with children, in one-to-one work, and in due course, as a part of returning to our work with veterans.
The London Meditation Project is pleased to support this training.
Catherine has at long last completed a 108 km swim to raise funds for this Feldenkrais training which costs £3000 per year.
Swimming update: THANK YOU to the London Fields Lido for opening whenever possible through this difficult past year. Catherine has now completed swimming 108 kilometres and more!
