peace of mind: courses and days for veterans and service-personnel
These courses and day retreats will give practical training that can help ease stress and address issues of trauma in a gentle, healing and empowering way. You will be carefully guided in working with your mind, body and emotions through thoroughly tried and tested practices.
We do not promise a quick fix but we believe meditation has something truly substantial to offer in the process of managing stress accumulated through the military experience, and can be supportive in healing from PTSD. We warmly welcome veterans and their partners and families who are interested in this work, and are happy to talk with you about what events may be most appropriate and helpful for you.
Our meditation courses and days are held in safe, comfortable venues and include a warm welcome. We also provide good food!
Places on these events are limited in numbers. To avoid disappointment, please contact us, and book your place using the PARTICIPANTS APPLICATION FORM. We ask for donations to help sustain the project. We have also free places on every event.

Peace of Mind Project day retreat for Veterans and Service-people.
(more info and to book)
On these Peace of Mind Project day retreats you will have the opportunity to learn meditations that help you find your own calm centre and inner resources.
We offer supportive and respectful training in deep relaxation, meditation and mindfulness-based stress reduction, giving you skills to relax more deeply, manage stress and begin to heal the invisible wounds of war, in the company of a small group of other veterans. These day retreats are very welcoming and friendly, and include honest conversation and a tasty home-cooked lunch.
We plan to have monthly day retreats for veterans in 2015. If you would like to come along regularly we welcome you to do so. Please book your place in advance via the application form below.
