MEDITATION MONDAYS AT THE FARM:
CALM IN THE CITY

The London Meditation Project is delighted to offer Meditation Mondays: Day Workshops in delightful venues in the Square Mile.

We love to hold summer meditation days at the beautiful oasis in the City that is Spitalfields City Farm. A day meditating at the Farm offers an energising and grounding experience of being closer to nature. For small team groups, the Bedouin Tent at St Ethelburga’s is a warm, magical space for an autumn/winter meditation training day: the spacious Nave is suitable for larger groups.

Meditation Mondays include led meditations and mindfulness practice, short talks, Q&A sessions and discussions on traditional and contemporary themes in meditation, ethics and mindfulness.

You will learn simple and effective ways of creating some peace and space in a busy life. The practices we teach help foster clarity of mind, emotional wellbeing and resilience, and more aware, responses to life’s opportunities and challenges.

Your day will include a delicious homemade lunch, fresh herbal teas, coffee, and afternoon tea and cake. Newcomers to meditation are welcome.

I attended Meditation Monday as I wanted to know more about stress management through breathing and meditation techniques. I started meditating a few years ago and find it is a real antidote to the stress of everyday life as an NHS professional. However, I felt in need of some direction - Catherine definitely provided this. The day was very special. The sessions are held in a beautiful yurt (overlooked by the Gherkin!) and the teaching is tailored to the individual level and needs of those attending. In particular, Catherine was sensitive to the pressures of NHS work and I really felt her appreciation of the work we do.

I left feeling relaxed, inspired and more able to manage NHS based life. I would highly recommend this to all local NHS staff - our job is so demanding and meditation gives us an opportunity to make space for ourselves and keep a positive outlook, however challenging the "shop floor" becomes.

Thank you Catherine and London Meditation Project Xx ps. the lunch is also amazing...and followed by afternoon tea!

I work in quite a demanding job in the City and can find it hard to relax after a difficult day. I’d read a bit about meditation and mindfulness previously but had never practised anything concrete, so a day’s introduction seemed like the perfect place to start. The relaxed teaching and peaceful atmosphere of the farm made for a really enjoyable day, and there was even a tasty fresh lunch included! I've definitely learned some techniques I can use in my everyday life and am looking forward to building on them doing more classes in the future.
